Narrative Text: The King's Kinka Story

The kinka is a small lizard with a red ring around its neck. This story is about a kinka that lived in the king’s garden.
One day the king took a walk through his garden. He looked at the birds and the flowers. He looked at the trees. Suddenly he noticed a kinkas do when they are frightened.
“Look at this,” said the king. “this lizard is very clever. He knows how to behave before the king. He is certainly the most polite animal I have ever seen.”

The king called his gardener. “I want you to feed this kinka. Give him some meat each day. Here is a bag of gold coins to pay for the meat.”
And so, each day the gardener used two gold coins to buy meat for the kinka. The kinka grew fat and lazy. He no longer ran through the garden.
One day the gardener was too busy to buy meat. Instead, he hung the two gold coins around the kinka’s neck. The kinka climbed to the top of the garden gate. Soon the king came along on his daily walk. He saw the kinka. This time the kinka did not nod its head because the coins around its neck were so heavy. It simply looked down on the king.
“What a proud kinka you are,” said the king. “You are too proud to be polite.”
After that the king refused to buy any special meat for the kinka. Like other animals, the kinka once again had to find its own food.

A long time ago, an old man lived in Penanggungan Mountain. His name was Kiai Gede Penanggungan. He had supernatural power. Kiai Gede Penanggungan also had a beautiful daughter. Her name was Dewi Walangangin.
Although very beautiful, she was not married yet. That's why Kiai Gede Penanggungan prayed days and nights for her daughter. Finally, God answered his prayer. A young handsome man came to his place.
"My name is Jaka Pandelegan. I came here because I want to be your student. I want to learn a lot of things from you," said the young man. "I will take you as my student but you have to marry my daughter. Agree?" Jaka took a deep breath. Then he said, “Yes, I agree. I will marry your daughter." Both Dewi Walangangin and Jaka Pandelegan lived a happy marriage. Especially Jaka, he was even happier.
Kiai Gede Penanggungan taught him many things. After several years living with Kiai Gede Penanggungan, now it was time for the couple to leave him and found a new life as husband and wife.
"I know you can't live with me forever. Before you go, take this seed of pari. Every time people ask you, give them some. Don't be arrogant when you are rich." After that, the couple left him and brought pari seed. Pari means rice.
Then, in the new place, they planted the seed. Soon, grew a lot of rice. Now the couple became very rich. The poor neighbours came to the couple to ask for some pari seed.
"No way! If you want to eat, you have to work hard like me!" said Jaka. Kiai Gede Penanggungan heard his bad behaviour. So, he decided to visit him. He wanted to remind him about his promise. Kiai Gede Penanggungan immediately called their names when he arrived in the rice field. "Jaka Pandelegan, come here! I want to talk to you." But Jaka ignored him. He kept on doing his activity. "My daughter, Dewi. It's me, your father." But Dewi also ignored him. Kiai Gede Penanggungan was really angry. He then said, "You two are like temples. You cannot listen to me."
Right after he said those words, an incredible thing happened. Slowly, Jaka and Dewi turned into temples. Because the temples stood among the pari, people then named them as Pari Temple.

May J feat Daniel Powter - Back to Your Heart LYRICS

Back to your heart
(back to your heart
Back to your heart

Remember when you held my hand so tight
outside in the coldest winter
Promised me you'd never let me go
But now you're far away

Remember when you gave me one last kiss
telling me how much you loved me
Suddenly you walked out of my life

Don't know but,
I've been trying to get you off my mind,
like it was just a dream
I keep falling can't control it
I'm still calling out your name

Sorry baby baby baby
Don't know how we start to fall apart but this for true
I'm such a fool for you to let go and say goodbye
I wish baby baby baby
I could tell you that you are the one for me for sure
We could work it out and find out where to start
I'd walk thousand miles away back to your heart

Remember when we stayed up all night long
Just to feel the warmth of our love
Baby you're the one who brightened me up,
when I had a bad day
Since the day I gave you one last kiss
I was shattered in a thousand pieces
I'm so lost that I can't even breathe

I tried to,
find the way but our hearts were going wrong directions
All I need is one more chance so
how can I open your heart?

Sorry baby baby baby
Don't know how we start to fall apart but this for true
I'm such a fool for you to let go and say goodbye
I wish baby baby baby
I could tell you that you are the one for me for sure
We could work it out and find out where to start
I'd walk thousand miles away back

Don't know where you are, and who you're with,
but all I know is you're still in my heart
We have times against us, miles between us,
but my heart is here to stay
I'd do anything to have you back
I'd rather be alone if you're not here
I'm still in love, I'm still in love
Baby would you come back to me

Sorry baby baby baby
Don't know how we start to fall apart but this for true
I'm such a fool for you to let go and say goodbye
I wish baby baby baby
I could tell you that you are the one for me for sure
We could work it out and find out where to start
I'd walk thousand miles away back to your heart

Fragmen Minggu Pagi

Aku kehilangan hitungan

Di jarum jam bayanganmu tak pernah padam

Mengukir rindu dengan pendulum waktu

Aku ingin pagi ini

Sebutir embun menyentuh wajahmu sebagai tanganku

Atas berkas sinar matahari menghangatkan sebagaimana
doaku

      Penulis              :  A. Adenata
      Penerbit           :  Indiva Media Kreasi
      Tahun Terbit   :  2007
      Tebal Buku       :  158 halaman

(Rahmah Nur Ananda Gaza/IX E/19)
